Diana’s interest in spiritually based postmodern forms of organizing led her to support the design and creation of the United Religions Initiative, a global interfaith organization dedicated to peace and cooperation among people of differing religions, faiths, spiritual and indigenous traditions.

Dr. Diana Whitney is President of Corporation for Positive Change, a consulting firm dedicated to the creation of appreciative organizations – those capable of balancing and sustaining economic viability and social well-being. She is a founder and director of the Taos Institute, a non-profit organization focused on furthering the theory and practice of social constructionism for the benefit of businesses, communities and families around the globe. Diana is an internationally recognized consultant, speaker and thought leader on the subjects of Appreciative Inquiry, Positive Change, Appreciative Leadership and Spirituality at Work. She is the author and editor of nine books and numerous articles including: The Power of Appreciative Inquiry, The Appreciative Inquiry Handbook, The Appreciative Inquiry Summit, and Positive Approaches to Peacebuilding. Dr. Whitney is a Distinguished Consulting Faculty at Saybrook Graduate School and Research Center.
Her consulting practice focuses on the use of Appreciative Inquiry for corporate culture change, whole system transformation, merger, alliance and partnership building and strategic planning. She teaches and consults to business, healthcare and non-governmental organizations in the Americas, Europe and Asia.
