AI Written Works: Stories from the Field - Detail

Three Saturdays and a WOW! - An Imagine Boston Pilot Project
Muriel Finegold , Lani Peterson , Bea Mah Holland , Gabriela Canepa

A Boston High School
Boston, MA
Date 09/01/2005

Annotation: As part of the Imagine Boston initiative, Lani Peterson, Bea Mah Holland, Gabriela Canepa and Muriel Finegold have developed a 3-part youth leadership training program. See the document below for more details.

They combined AI with story-telling. One of their team members is a professional story-teller and in working with the youth story-telling became a very powerful and integral part of our process. The stories that she told became part of the activities we did together so the design for each of the sessions emerged and grew out of the story. Below is also the interview protocol for the third round of interviews. It served as a guide because the girls had a particular interest in the people they were interviewing and had their own questions.

As a pilot, there has been great interest in the program being replicated in other High Schools in the area.
