Annotation: This is a nine year study by Mike Mantel, the executive director for the non-profit Vision Chicago as he completed his dissertation under the direction of Jim Ludema at Benedictine University. Originally thousands of pages of materials were collected and put into yearly binders for this study. So we are looking at an internal consultant practicing appreciative change from the inside through all the day to day experiences to create a new organizational form while looking at the forces and factors that sustained appreciative change over a time frame of nine years. The key question in this study concerns the sustainability of appreciative inquiry over time.
