Annotation: The Sisters of Mercy of Connecticut is one region among 25 regions of the Institute of the Sisters of Mercy of the Americas, a Catholic Order of Women Religious. The 25 units are in the process of reorganizing themselves into six geographic communities. In July of 2006 Connecticut will formally join with five other groups to form one Northeast Community. The Connecticut regional group held their last gathering as a separate unit in the spring of 2005. To prepare for this significant gathering the Assembly Steering Committee chose to use the process of Appreciative Inquiry in order that the group celebrate its history and identify the gifts and strengths it would be bringing to the new configuration. The entire process took six months and culminated with a one day summit.
