Annotation: Changes in the Neighbourhood: Development Processes that Work is a series of booklets designed to assist organizations and communities dealing with development issues.

This publication was developed through the Housing Research and Action Project, jointly funded by :

The City of Read Deer, Social Planning Department
Human Resources Development Canada
Alberta Real Estate Foundation

These two booklets are from a six booklet series written for community leaders and developers. The series looks as development issues in neighbourhoods, and the NIMBY responses that often arise. The attached two booklets introduce development proponents to Appreciative Inquiry as a different, more positive, way of addressing development scenarios. Booklet number 5 has a wonderful overview of AI in an easy to read and understand format, perfect for the lay person. Booklet number 6 is more a workbook for an appreciative approach to community development.
