Leadership Blount County - Class of 2003

2003, Apr

Annotation: Blount County has a leadership development program.

Each Leadership Blount Class must do a class project. Our class is gathering stories of peak teamwork, communication, and leadership experiences from our governmental leaders. We are seeking inspirational stories of when they have been at their best when working in the community, and to discover the strengths and assets that they each bring to their leadership position. We also want to discover the views that our community leaders hold regarding the global and local trends that are having an impact on Blount County and their "ideal vision" for our community. Finally, we want to share what we discover with all of the leaders.

Details of Our Class Project
Our class will be interviewing all elected government officials in the community plus the County Executive and City Managers. We will collate the interviews and create a multi-media document/presentation, complete with data, charts, summaries, great quotes, inspirational stories, and pictures. These interviews will focus on strengths of our community and our leaders.

Below is the Project Packet.

The second phase of the project will be to hold a small Growth Summit, which will happen Feb. 26, 2004.
