The Living Dialogue on Health and Care - Facilitator's Guide
Wynne Grossman - CEO
The Valeo Initiative Corte Madera, CA United States 2001
Annotation: The Valeo Initiative is a coalition of people and organizations who aspire to create an epidemic of health. To stimulate that epidemic, Valeo launched the Living Dialogue on Health and Care, a national demonstration project intended to inspire people to think constructively about their own health and to influence the care they receive. The Living Dialogue is based on Appreciative Inquiry and includes two components: a formal workshop for 12-30 participants; and an informal use of the Living Dialogues questions in any setting. Valeo is hoping to include people of all ages and ethnicities from all regions of the countries. We are especially interested in including chronically ill people.
*The Facilitator’s Guide is an all inclusive, step-by-step guidebook for conducting a four hour Living Dialogue Workshop which can be included as part of the national demonstration project.
*The Storyteller’s Workbook (included separately) is intended for use by workshop participants. They contain forms for participants’ to complete. These forms should be returned to Valeo Initiative and will be analyzed by Valeo’s research partner at the University of Mississippi.
