Interview Packet: Unleashing the Potential & Power of Our People

Annotation: The following interview packet was prepared in January 2006 to support an HR leadership team's extended data gathering (a.k.a. appreciative interview) efforts across its 650-person information management company. The results of the individual and group data gathering efforts, along with information and research on external best practices, were integrated into an HR strategic planning session following completion of the interview process.

Packet contents include all of the following:
- Purpose of the Interview (and sample introduction letter)
- Process Overview (completing interview assignments, summaries, theming, and next steps)
- Tips for conducting interviews
- Sample interview debriefing questions (for facilitating large group dialogue following the interview)
- Sample interview opening
- Interview questions (topics of empowerment with impact, leadership bringing out our best, and performing for the good of the whole)
