Annotation: Changing the approach for management and coordination of training and development from a deficit focus to an appreciative process may have the potential to improve the ability of training interventions to more effectively fulfill organizational needs and aid them in maintaining global competitiveness. The values and behaviors promoted by Appreciative Inquiry have an uncanny fit for filling the gap for transfer between current training methods and current business needs and should be explored further.
