Annotation: In August 2005 Jen Hetzel Silbert paid her second visit to Guyana, South America, where she was invited to facilitate an Introductory AI Workshop to various government officials and political leaders representing Region 6. The workshop was designed in collaboration with the Georgetown-based Partners for Positive Change (PPC), a learning network that emerged from a previous AI Foundations Workshop in May 2005. The event was sponsored by a collaborative partnership between the US Agency for International Development (USAID) and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP), and its objective was to engage regional leaders in a new kind of conversation that would inspire collaborative community development and inclusive governance. Outcomes of the summit included design plans aimed at promoting gender equality and appreciation, increasing parental involvement in youth education, rural infrastructure development, inter-religous collaboration, leadership development.
