Annotation: This practice tool consists of a presentation which the authors made to the Ohio Economic Development Association on October 13, 2006 at its Summit 2006 in Columbus, OH. The presentation was intended to introduce the conference attendees to Appreciative Inquiry, including the 4-D process, and included role-playing exercises for the Discovery and Dream phases of the process. The role-playing utilized an actual economic development project with the real names changed. The complete presentation, including the role-playing, was structured for the typical one hour session at conferences of this kind, and included a powerpoint presentation and worksheets for each of the role-playing exercises.
