Annotation: Why is the Appreciative Inquiry 4D/5D cycle structured the way it is? And can this question be generalised to other development models?

This is a conceptual paper that started with an appreciative inquiry into why two business and leadership models had similar structures. The grounded research that developed from this led to a unifying model that very many effective development models all share. This model is congruent with the latest quantum mechanical unified field models of nature, and the most ancient model of how nature (Prakriti) emerges from consciousness. This supports the theory that consciousness/spirit and the unified field/superstring are the same thing - the last stroke of unification, uniting subjectivity, relativity and objectivity.

The theory of natural evolution and leadership that emerges suggests all full leadership models must have the same structure, and spiritual roots. It implies that the roots of AI are the structure of the unified field - consciousness itself. This model makes a practical integrated approach to effective leadership feasible, uniting the best western development tools with recently revived Indian Vedic techniques that fully develop higher consciousness. The usefulness is that all development models share a common user interface, as it were, and can be mixed and matched with joyous ease, and the right tool found for each job.

This is a fairly condensed and distilled initial summary paper. It is hoped to turn it into a book some day that gives a basic personal development toolkit, not unlike Peter Senge's five disciplines for a learning community. This is being gradually developed through occasional workshops, and has a more practical manifestation in the proposal to create an Environmental University where these tools are taught as a foundation course in development. There is some development of this core course concept in the proposal document at the website of the proposed Cumbria Environmental University - www.ceu.org.uk.
